HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have a lot of big things coming up in 2013, most importantly, I get to meet my twin GIRLS this year! We found out that we were having two little girls right before Christmas and couldn’t be more thrilled.
I really love this time of year. There is nothing more refreshing to me than a clean slate, and I am ready to get working on the goals that I set for 2013. Are you ready? Make sure you write your goals down, make them specific, and then my favorite, tell all your friends and ask them to hold you accountable. You will totally feel like a d-bag if you bail on all your goals for the year. Don’t be a d-bag. The energy in the gym today was amazing. It was a little annoying fighting over machines, but it’s inspiring to see such a big group of people who have decided to make their health a priority.
I got to take one of my very favorite yoga teacher’s class on New Year’s Day, and she started and ended the class with an amazing quote about change that I wanted to share with you.
“How strange that the nature of life is change, yet the nature of human beings is to resist change. And how ironic that the difficult times we fear might ruin us are the very ones that can break us open and help us blossom into who we were meant to be.” ― Elizabeth Lesser
Embrace the change. Make it happen. Happy 2013!
