We are home and getting back into our routine. It feels awesome! Time to get back on track and get our shit back together. The first thing I did on Sunday morning was go on a run, go to an amazing power vinyasa class, and then most importantly, go to Whole Foods. I picked up everything I need to set myself up for success this week. IT IS SO IMPORTANT to take some time out one day a week and get your food organized. This is the only way that I can get results…it’s all in the preplanning and preportioning. I got home from Whole Foods and Miles and I spent about 45 minutes to an hour getting organized. Seriously, that is all the time it took, and now we are ready to take on this week with clean, delicious food. We boiled eggs and put two eggs each in small sandwich bags, cooked edamame and put them in 60 calorie portioned baggies, put turkey bacon into baggies with two pieces per bag, cooked shredded carrots and preportioned them into 1/2 cup portions baggies for veggie wraps, cut up celery, peeled and cut cucumbers and probably a few other things that I’m not thinking of right now. This is what our refrigerator looks like for the week.
This is setting ourselves up for success! This is getting our shit back together! It makes it so easy in the morning when we are rushing out the door to get all the snacks that we need for the day. Everything is in baggies or tupperwear, preportioned, calorie controlled and ready to go!
So we took care of the nutrition side of things, but there are two other parts to the equation- cardio and strength training. So this morning we went to Eco for Kyle’s 2 Hour Ride. Yes, that’s right, 2 Hour Ride. It was an ass kicking, high energy, amazing cycling class. Afterwards, my friend Solange and I made sure we got our strength training in. Our legs were shot from spinning, so we just did upper body. I was wearing my heart rate monitor and blasted 1793 calories!!
I finished off my Labor Day with a grounded yoga class this evening. I needed to stretch it out after that ride today.
So, who’s gonna get their shit back together with me this week?
