…that Charleston finally gets a real deal, full-blow Lululemon store! Wooohooo! This has been a long time coming, and I’m super excited about it. Lululemon has done so much for the fitness community in Charleston already, and I can’t wait to see what’s going to come next. They put together a video on what defines that Charleston fitness community that you have to see. It’s so awesome! (Be careful, it might make you want to move here.)

Charleston is an absolutely amazing place to live and such a fun place to sweat. From my house, I can run or bike to the beaches of Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, the Ravenel Bridge or historic Downtown Charleston. There are at least 8 yoga studios within 6 miles of my house. Drive down Coleman Blvd or across the Bridge and see people running at any time of day. It is absolutely inspiring to live in a city that makes fitness so accessible.
I inherited my Lululemon addiction from Amanda and then passed it along to a lot of clients, friends and family members. From working out, training clients and teaching cycling and yoga, I sweat a lot throughout the day, and I literally go through 3 Lulu outfits a day! What some people spend on work suits and corporate attire, I spend on cool racer backs, wunder unders and define jackets. My friends have even planned an entire girl’s night based around the store opening (our significant other are thrilled about this, and I’m surprised they are not hiding our credit cards). We are heading to the new store at 5 and then walking to dinner from there. Seriously.can.not.wait.
To continue with the Grand Opening festivities, next Friday Lulu has somehow convinced the City of Charleston to close down a portion of King Street (main shopping area) and turn it into one big ass yoga mat. For an event appropriately called, “King Street Yoga. One Big Ass Yoga Mat”. One of my favorite teachers and mentors, Mark Knowles, will be teaching a group of 500 yogis! Yes that’s right, 500 yogis! How freaking cool is that?!? Only Lululemon could pull that off. Here’s the flyer below for any Charleston locals looking for more info.
